About Stayfit Bootcamp

I love working with kids because they are positive, love learning and are full of energy.  My vision in working with kids and young adults is to help them enjoy exercise so that by participating in a fitness program at a young age they learn to associate exercise with fun as well as learn life lessons to carry them into a healthy adulthood.

Qualifications/Experience

  • NCSF Licensed and Insured Personal Trainer (AED/CPR Certified)
  • Solid experience of working with kids and teens aged 8-18.
  • Understand the strengths/ limitations of kids and what it takes to make workouts fun and engaging.
  • When training kids I take the time to learn a bit about them and their interests in order provide the optimal type of fitness conditioning that will be both mentally and physically stimulating.

Benefits

Exercise can benefit children and teens in many of the same ways as it can for adults, however the benefit with getting your child started with an extracurricular activity such as fitness training is that it can serve as a forum for prevention for many of the mental and physical health issues kids face today such as: obesity, high blood pressure, self-esteem, mental and leading to happier, healthier and more productive children.

Work Out Objectives, Goals, and Methods

We make it fun! My  goal is to make our sessions both entertaining and beneficial. This includes engaging in activities which stimulate muscle use and growth and includes games such as follow the leader, tag, and Simon Says into our work outs

  • Light resistance training
  • Core exercises
  • Balance/coordination
  • Cardiovascular exercises
